Singkawang Municipality has an inflation of 0,13 percent on October 2022

In October 2022, Singkawang City experienced inflation of 0.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.06.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the seven expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in index from the highest was the health group by 0.96 percent; transportation group by 0.83 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.43 percent; personal care group by 0.42 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.39 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.36 percent; and the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.33 percent. Meanwhile, three expenditure groups experienced a decrease in index, namely the food, beverage and tobacco groups by 0.29 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.09 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, the education group experienced very small changes in the index so that it did not contribute significantly to inflation.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to October 2022 is 4.97 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2022 to October 2021) is 5.63 percent.
