Abstract

Deflation that occurred in October 2011 due to a decrease in the index are sufficiently large to three (3) groups of expenditure and the increase in the index of 4 (four) groups of expenditure. Expenditure group index declines which was group Foodstuffs index decreased by -2.20 percent, amounting to -0.77 percent Clothing group, and the group of Transport, Communications and Financial Services amounted to -8.10 percent. While the group experienced an increase in index namely the Food, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco by 0.51 percent, and the group Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas & Fuel by 0.66 per cent, 0.07 per cent of the group Health, Education group , Recreation and Sports of 0.14 percent.
